Job summary

Samsara is seeking a Staff Application Security Engineer to shape the vulnerability management program across cloud, firmware/IoT, and corporate systems. You will lead strategy, drive improvements, and partner with engineering to reduce exposure while scaling security automation.

The role is remote in the United States (except SF Bay, NYC, DC metros) with Central or Eastern time zones. Relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cloud/security engineering with vulnerability management
• Ability to set technical direction for security programs across multi-product environments
• Experience with modern vulnerability tooling and scoring frameworks (CVSS/EPSS)

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, operation, and improvement of the vulnerability management program.
• Drive MTTR reduction across the backlog and SLAs.
• Build automation to scale detection and response across cloud, firmware/IoT, and IT.
• Set program direction and translate priorities into concrete execution plans.
• Mentor engineers in secure design and remediation practices.
• Communicate risk and remediation tradeoffs to engineering leadership.
