Job summary

Twilio is hiring a Staff AI Security Engineer, Threat Hunting, remote-first. You will join a security engineering team building bespoke and standard tooling, automating detection, and scaling our program globally.

The role emphasizes incident response, threat modeling, and cross-team collaboration to defend the platform. Required experience includes 3+ years in security engineering, AI agents, and cloud security across AWS/GCP, with proficiency in SIEM/SOAR and IaC like Terraform or

Qualifications

• 3+ years of security engineering in production-cloud environments.
• Subject-matter expert on security issues and technologies.
• Experience designing and building AI agents and agentic workflows.
• Ability to use AI for threat hunting delivering high fidelity detections.
• Experience with MITRE ATLAS or similar frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Be an Owner: participate in on-call rotation, architect and develop detective tooling and automation, participate in Incident Response.
• Write It Down: align Detection and Response vision, develop roadmaps and projects with prioritization and resourcing.
• Wear the customer’s shoes: collaborate to solve threats across the tech stack.
• Ruthlessly Prioritize: identify areas for improvement within Incident Response and broader objectives.
• Draw the Owl: build systems to simplify complex security problems.
