Job summary

PayPal is seeking a Staff Product Security Engineer, AI Security to help protect 439M active accounts and $1.8T in annual payment volume by leading security work across AI security, AI-enabled products, and vulnerability detection. You will partner with security architecture, engineering, product, and platform teams to implement scalable controls and enforcement across PayPal’s products and business units.

This hands-on IC role will set technical direction, lead delivery, and mentor engineers

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant security experience or equivalent.
• Experience in security engineering practices and risk management.
• Ability to lead cross-functional security initiatives across teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve complex security issues; recommend best practices and novel approaches.
• Lead security initiatives and programs to strengthen overall security posture.
• Apply advanced analytical skills to solve security challenges and stay current with industry trends.
• Directly contribute to improvements within the security domain and influence security processes.
