GE HealthCare is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to advance AI in healthcare, from ideation to deployment within GE HealthCare products. The role emphasizes scalable AI tools, medical imaging, and clinical decision support, with collaboration across clinical, software, PM, and regulatory teams.
You will mentor junior scientists, publish research, and evaluate external AI tech to strengthen internal capabilities while upholding responsible AI practices.
Job Description Summary: The Staff Data Scientist will work in teams addressing statistical, machine learning and data understanding problems in a commercial technology and consultancy development environment. In this role, you will contribute to the development and deployment of modern machine learning, operational research, semantic analysis, and statistical methods for finding structure in large data sets.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual, passionate about foundational AI models, scalable AI tools, and Healthcare AI models to join the GE Healthcare AI group. As the Staff AI Scientist, you will focus on exciting generative vision, text, speech, time-series, and multi-modal problems related to segmentation, object detection, large-scale generative models, large-scale pre-training, prompt tuning, distillation, robustness, responsible AI, quantization, etc.
For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $147,840.00-$221,760.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long‑term incentives (LTI).
