Job summary

True Anomaly is building the next generation of space defense software. The Staff AI Platform Engineer will lead the infrastructure, tooling, and integrations that put AI into the hands of every team. This is a building role, not a research role, focused on delivering production-grade capabilities.

You will own platform-level decisions on AI providers, tools, and architectures, and help deliver AI training and enablement for the company, including hands-on workshops and resources.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering, DevOps, or cloud engineering with leadership experience.
• Production systems experience using Python, TypeScript, or similar languages for AI/ML tooling.
• Experience with large language model APIs, prompt engineering, and AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of AI platform infrastructure across the enterprise.
• Build and maintain AI platform infrastructure: API integrations, model access pipelines, and on-premises compute environments as needed
• Develop custom AI-powered applications and workflows that connect frontier models to internal systems
• Own evaluation and selection of AI providers, tools, and platforms with build-vs-buy decisions
• Mentor and role model for other engineers to support growth
• Contribute to AI training and enablement programs (workshops, office hours, documentation)
• Partner with engineering, security, and IT to meet government security/compliance requirements
• Stay current with evolving AI landscape and provide recommendations on models/tools/capabilities
