Job summary

Qualcomm is seeking a Staff/Senior Staff Software Engineer for the AI Software Platform in San Diego to drive toolchains and performance optimization of the Qualcomm AI Stack across QAIRT/Genie and HW back-end support on the Snapdragon SoC.

You will lead in-house tool development, collaborate across OS platforms (Android/Linux/QNX/Windows), and mentor juniors while delivering scalable AI software solutions with strong emphasis on cross-functional excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD with required years in hardware/software/systems engineering
• Experience with embedded software applications is preferred
• Proficiency in software tools development using C/C++/Python and build systems

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop in-house software tools and third-party toolchains for Qualcomm AI Stack SDKs (QAIRT and Genie) to support execution of latest generative AI models on Snapdragon platforms across OSs
• Lead/system-level performance and memory profiling/benchmarks to support high-performance AI software on SoCs for Edge-AI use cases
• Validate, analyze, and optimize software performance and accuracy through detailed testing of ML use cases
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior members to deliver robust, scalable toolchains
