Job summary

Adobe Inc. is seeking a Staff Engineer for AI for Engineering to design and build scalable, production‑grade AI platforms enabling Agentic AI capabilities for Adobe Express.

You will architect end-to-end systems that orchestrate models, tools, memory, and data streams, while mentoring engineers in modern AI system design. The role requires deep expertise in LLM behavior in production, multi-model pipelines, and cloud-native microservices with strong observability and reliability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems, AI platforms, or intelligent service architectures.
• Deep understanding of how LLMs behave in production environments, including prompting strategies and evaluation.
• Experience with AI-powered systems using LLM orchestration frameworks and routing.
• Designing agentic systems with memory, tool integration, and multi-agent coordination.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, and at least one systems language (Java/Go/C++)
• Strong systems thinking connecting model capabilities to product needs
• Excellent cross-functional communication influencing architectural direction

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable Agentic AI platforms to boost engineering productivity.
• Evolve AI platform with Agentic AI systems and LLm-native architectures.
• Design scalable orchestration layers for LLMs, tools, memory, and workflows.
• Build production-grade agent frameworks for planning, memory, and collaboration.
• Develop high-performance inference and runtime systems with latency/reliability guarantees.
• Design evaluation/feedback systems for reasoning quality and agent behavior.
• Integrate first/third-party foundation models with routing and guardrails.
• Design data flows and contextual memory for cross-interaction coherence.
• Collaborate with research, product, and platform teams to bring agentic capabilities to developers.
• Drive architectural strategy connecting models, reasoning engines, tools, and data streams.
• Mentor senior engineers in AI system design and orchestration patterns.
