ARKA Group L.P. is seeking a Staff AI/ML Engineer to prototyping and develop AI/ML algorithms across object detection, NLP, time series, RL, and LLMs. You will work with a small interdisciplinary team and mentor colleagues while supporting training and deployment pipelines on AWS.

Relocation is available and flexible scheduling options may be offered. Candidates must hold an active TS/SCI clearance and have strong Python and ML library experience.

Qualifications

• B.S. in machine learning, computer science, mathematics, or related field.
• 8+ years of AI/ML development experience.
• Proficiency with Python and ML libraries such as PyTorch, Lightning, OpenCV, NumPy, Polars.
• Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning.
• Experience with deep learning architectures.
• Experience contributing on a team using version control (e.g. git, GitLab, Bitbucket).
• Active TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance.

Position Overview:

This position is for a Staff AI/ML Engineer looking for new challenging problems. You should have experience working in research teams prototyping and developing AI/ML algorithms. You will support the development of AI/ML algorithms in a multitude of disciplines including object detection/classification, natural language processing, time series prediction/classification, reinforcement learning, and large language models.

Preferred Qualifications:

• M.S. or PhD in relevant technical field
• Experience leading interdisciplinary teams
• Experience with MCP, Microsoft Agent Framework, HuggingFace, LangChain, OpenCV
• Experience with GenAI Ops techniques (e.g. LLM-as-a-judge) and frameworks (e.g. LangFuse, MLFlow, Arize Phoenix)
• Experience with LLMs, Transformers, YOLO, GANs, Reinforcement Learning
• Linux and AWS experience
• Experience with CUDA and Python libraries such as CuPy, Numba, CuSignal, CuDF, etc.
• Experience in application deployment, virtualization, and containerization (e.g. Podman, Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher)
• Familiarity with using AWS cloud computing resources such as EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.
