Job summary

Micron is seeking a Staff AI-centric Full Stack Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain cloud-native, AI-enabled full-stack applications and platform services that integrate custom AI agents and MCP-based integrations for manufacturing and business systems.

You will own end-to-end design, develop AI agents for automation and decision support, and integrate AI services and external tools via secure APIs while ensuring security, reliability, and scalability in production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of full-stack or backend software development experience.
• Strong API design, service integration, data persistence, and building production-grade applications.
• Cloud-native architectures, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and Kubernetes Deployments.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and AI-enabled solutions including AI agents and tool integration.

Responsibilities

Micron seeks a Staff AI Engineering professional to design, build, and support modern cloud-native full-stack applications with a strong emphasis on embedding AI capabilities and intelligent automation. The role focuses on developing AI-enabled solutions, custom AI agents, and MCP-based integrations that shorten development cycles and augment human decision-making for production systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and lifecycle support of scalable full-stack applications and platform services.
• Develop and implement custom AI agents for workflow automation, decision support, summarization, and multi-step reasoning.
• Integrate AI services, large language models (LLMs), embeddings, search technologies, and external tools via secure, scalable APIs.
• Build and maintain Model Context Protocol (MCP)-based integrations for structured communication between models, tools, and business systems.
• Apply AI-assisted development practices (including prompt engineering and vibe coding) while ensuring code quality, security, reliability, and maintainability.
• Harden AI components for 24x7 critical manufacturing systems with attention to resiliency, latency, performance, permissions, data boundaries, and observability.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable and maintainable solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of full-stack or backend software development experience.
• Strong expertise in API design, service integration, data persistence, and building production-grade applications.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and Kubernetes-based deployments.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including data modeling and storage architecture design.
• Demonstrated experience designing and deploying AI-enabled solutions, including AI agents, RAG systems, prompt engineering, AI tool integration, and evaluating AI reliability and security.

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years building and scaling enterprise-grade distributed applications in cloud environments.
• Strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET , Angular, SQL, NoSQL, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with MCP integrations, AI agent skills, tool invocation frameworks, and multi-agent workflows.
• Deep understanding of prompt engineering, context management, AI workflow optimization, and interoperability between models and tools.
• Proven track record of architecting highly available, secure, and resilient systems and leading architecture and code quality initiatives.
