Job summary

Airwallex in San Francisco is seeking a Staff AI Engineer to design and deploy intelligent, multi-step financial workflows. You will leverage agentic frameworks, orchestration layers, and production-grade AI systems at scale, collaborating with backend and frontend teams to deliver reliable, secure automation.

You'll work with LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel and OSS stacks to build agents that reason, use tools, and improve over time.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in applied AI/ML engineering with production deployments.
• Strong Python skills and experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow).
• Track record of building and deploying AI agents, orchestration frameworks, or multi-step reasoning systems.
• Understanding of monitoring, evaluation, and iteration in production AI systems.
• Ability to balance innovation with reliability, scalability, and compliance.

Responsibilities

The Agentic AI team designs intelligent, autonomous systems that eliminate financial operations for companies globally.
