Job summary

Highlight is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Data & AI Products, to transform years of credible data into production ML/LLM models. You’ll shape the platform, own modeling choices, and collaborate with Product and Research to ensure trustworthy outputs.

You’ll work on data integration, offline/online evaluation, and production deployment, building robust AI capabilities across the Highlight stack while prioritizing safety, bias awareness, and business impact.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in applied ML or data science, including shipping ML/LLM products to production.
• Depth in NLP/LLMs: embeddings, retrieval, fine-tuning, and evaluation.
• Experience turning messy data into reliable model inputs.

Responsibilities

• Unify data layer across studies, surveys, video, and tester feedback.
• Refine pipelines and evaluations for shipping AI features.
• Build synthetic panels and validate predictions against real data.
• Model reliability across a large community of users.
