Job summary

Hilton's Waldorf Astoria Washington, DC, seeks a Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations onsite at Pennsylvania Avenue. The role covers AR, AP, payroll, and general ledger tasks, with involvement in month-end close and financial reporting.

You will liaise with internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate financial results. Ideal candidates will contribute to internal controls, assist in preparing financial communications, and collaborate across the broader finance

Responsibilities

• Perform essential accounting tasks across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and General Accounting to support financial operations
• Address questions and disputes; research and respond to inquiries and partner with internal and external parties to resolve disputes promptly
• Participate in financial reporting; assist with monthly accounts, month-end responsibilities, and internal controls over financial data
• Assist with financial communication; report financial results and aid understanding of financial matters for internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with other finance and corporate departments to drive success

The iconic Old Post Office has been reimagined as Waldorf Astoria Washington DC – reclaiming its position as one of Washington, D.C.’s preeminent addresses where all are welcome. With 263 rooms, 38,000 square feet of event space, and 2 restaurants plus 3 bars , this is the new home for Washington, D.C.’s most consequential events, groundbreaking meetings, and unforgettable experiences.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, mornings (AM). Occasional weekend work may be required depending on month-end closing needs.
