MBE CPAs in Scottsbluff, NE is seeking a Staff Accountant to support client relationships while delivering basic audit, bookkeeping, and tax services. This role offers exposure to audit, bookkeeping, and tax work to help you find your niche.

You will provide full-charge bookkeeping with QuickBooks, plus payroll and tax return preparation. Hybrid/remote options are available for experienced CPA-firm candidates.

Qualifications

• Two-year accounting associate degree or 5 years directly related accounting experience with a CPA firm.
• Ability to work fully onsite at one of our offices.
• Willingness to be cross-trained to support tax, audit, and bookkeeping needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-charge bookkeeping services to multiple clients using QuickBooks.
• Prepare payroll, tax, and business records and reports.
• Prepare corporate and individual tax returns.
• Assist with analyzing client financial records to identify potential accounting and auditing issues.
