Job summary

E. F. Precision Group in Willow Grove, PA is seeking a Staff Accountant to support financial reporting, maintain controls, and handle day-to-day accounting in a manufacturing setting. You will work closely with the Finance Director and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data for decision-making.

The role covers AR and AP processing, cash management, month-end close, and audits, with opportunities to streamline processes while ensuring GAAP compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, with AR, AP, and cash management.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Proficiency with accounting software; ERP system experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Office-based role within a manufacturing environment; regular collaboration with production, operations, and supply chain teams.
• Occasional visits to the production floor may be required to support inventory and cost accounting activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable functions, including customer billing, cash application, account reconciliations, collections, credit management, and resolution of payment discrepancies.
• Manage accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, vendor reconciliations, payment preparation and execution, and resolution of vendor inquiries and discrepancies.
• Maintain and review AR and AP aging schedules, identify past due or unusual balances, and drive resolution with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Manage cash receipts and disbursements, including accurate recording and reconciliation of transactions.
• Monitor daily cash activity and bank balances and support short-term cash forecasting and working capital management.
• Perform daily accounting activities, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of schedules, reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and maintain financial reports to support internal management, cash flow visibility, and audit requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation and addressing inquiries.
• Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve accounting processes and systems for greater accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, GAAP standards, and applicable regulations.
