Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is hiring a Staff Accountant for the New Orleans property. This role supports daily accounting operations, reconciliations, and financial reporting across hotel departments.

You will work with Finance leadership to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely close processes in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in a relevant field and 1+ years of accounting or hospitality finance experience, with strong Excel and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Management.
• 1+ years of accounting, hospitality finance, hotel accounting, or financial reporting experience preferred.
• Experience with hotel accounting processes and reporting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, payroll support, and cash management.
• Prepare and maintain financial reports and operational analyses.
• Assist with month-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Collaborate with Finance leadership and hotel departments to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy and accounting processes across the property.
