Job summary

Associated Grocers Northeast is seeking an experienced accountant to perform general accounting for corporate stores, compile financial information, and post journal entries across multiple accounts and locations. The role includes bank reconciliations, reporting, and advisory support to management.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting with 3-5 years of related experience and strong proficiency in standard software applications, spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field is required.
• 3-5 years related work experience or equivalent is expected.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases and word processing is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and approve accounting transactions that are recurring and non-recurring.
• Record, classify and summarize financial transactions per GAAP.
• General ledger posting of banking and payroll activity for multiple accounts/locations.
• Monthly bank reconciliations on multiple bank accounts.
• Reconcile and adjust assigned areas and prepare related reports for management.
