Wilbert Funeral Services, Inc. is hiring a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, payroll processing, lease accounting, and financial reporting.

This role reports to the Senior Accounting Manager as part of the corporate accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and a commitment to financial integrity, with experience in a manufacturing-like environment and multiple US locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliant environment.
• Experience with payroll processing and payroll reconciliations.
• Experience with ERP systems (Syspro/Epicor) and Excel/BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Process payroll accurately and maintain confidentiality of employee data.
• Perform lease accounting activities and ensure US GAAP compliance.
• Assist with month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Provide data for budgeting and forecasting and support special projects.
