Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. in Indianapolis seeks a financial partner for Cox Fleet to perform daily general accounting tasks, reconcile and analyze balance sheet and P&L accounts, and support high-volume journal entries.

You will work with stakeholders to ensure GAAP compliance and adhere to internal controls, participate in monthly close, and develop ad hoc analyses. The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting or Business, 2 years’ experience, and proficiency with Excel, Oracle, and other finance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration and 2 years' experience in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Analytical mindset with ability to analyze data and prepare financial reports.
• Excellent time management and ability to meet multiple deadlines with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts monthly and partner with stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Support monthly fiscal close with journal entries and adherence to deadlines.
• Perform general ledger entries for accruals or reclassifications.
• Review monthly activity for accuracy and identify improvement opportunities.
• Conduct account research to determine trends and significant changes.
• Investigate and correct errors in financial entries.
• Ensure procedures conform to GAAP and internal control framework.
• Prepare Ad Hoc Analyses and complete projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
