Job summary

Lion Country Safari, Inc.- FL is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to manage cash and bank reconciliations, AR, GL entries, and tax submissions, while assisting with annual audits. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of related experience and GAAP knowledge.

Proficiency in Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel) is required; NetSuite experience and a Florida driver’s license are a plus. On-site position with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years related experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Good written and spoken communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Proficient in Office 365, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• NetSuite experience a plus.
• Valid FL Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for the monthly close.
• Assist with annual audits (Financial, 401(k), workers’ comp).
• Review and approve W2 and 1095-C forms for accuracy.
• Prepare and file annual 1099-NEC forms for vendors.
• Post daily bank deposits and withdrawals.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Process monthly sales and tourist taxes.
• Create A/R invoices and reconcile A/R accounts.
• Maintain petty cash; record disbursements and reimburse.
• Manage fuel inventory.
• Assist with records retention and file organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
