Job summary

Turning Point Action is seeking a Staff Accountant to maintain financial records in accordance with GAAP and support payroll, accounts payable, and monthly close processes. You will reconcile ledgers, review credit card activity, prepare adjusting entries, and collaborate with the Director of Accounting on special projects.

A 1–2 year background in bookkeeping or accounting and strong Excel skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial records with daily entries in accordance with GAAP
• Process accounts payable and review general ledger accounts
• Prepare adjusting journal entries and reconcile accounts
• Research information for financial reporting
• Review credit card reports and ensure proper documentation
• Process mileage and other reimbursements for employees
• Set up and assign credit cards for employees
• Assist with payroll
• Assist Director of Accounting with various projects
