Job summary

Krueger International (KI) is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team in Green Bay, WI. This role reports to the Director of Tax & Treasury and supports fixed asset accounting and indirect tax functions while driving process improvements.

Responsibilities include asset setup, reconciliations, depreciation forecasting, tax research, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. We offer ESOP, a 401(k) match, paid time off, educational reimbursement, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Advanced knowledge of spreadsheets (Excel), accounting software (MRP/ERP), and data analysis tools (Showcase/Stratum).
• Strong interpersonal, communication and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and support fixed asset accounting activities, including asset setup and maintenance, disposals and transfers.
• Maintain fixed asset subledgers and perform reconciliations to the general ledger.
• Prepare and analyze book and tax depreciation calculations and forecasts.
• Evaluate capital expenditures for capitalization or repair expense treatment.
• Support capital budgeting processes and monitor capital investments.
• Reconcile indirect tax accounts and maintain exemption documentation.
• Research, interpret, and apply tax regulations to ensure compliance.
• Analyze large data volumes to identify tax risks and support audits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes.
• Support special projects, system implementations, and finance initiatives.
