Job summary

CFS in Whitewater, Wisconsin is seeking a Staff Accountant to support a growing, family-owned operation. The role covers monthly and year-end statements, tax data gathering, and day-to-day general accounting in a hands-on environment.

You will work with Sage to streamline processes, handle job costing tasks, and contribute to the close cycle. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred, with solid month-end experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with full-charge accounting and month-end close.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Knowledge of job costing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with compiling monthly and year‑end financial statements
• Gather monthly sales tax data, review for accuracy, and process payments
• Prepare month-end journal entries and support month-end close tasks
• Streamline Sage processes and improve inventory controls
• Support general accounting operations in a full-charge capacity
• Assist with job costing as needed
