Job summary

Rite of Passage is hiring a Staff Accountant at the Canyon State Academy location in Queen Creek, AZ. The role involves producing, analyzing, and overseeing financial information and tax filings for the nonprofit schools under Rite of Passage. Starting salary is $80,000 per year.

The successful candidate will manage the general ledger, month-end close, and support audits, while benefiting from comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401k match, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting or related field required.
• Previous experience maintaining a general ledger required.
• Previous experience with month-end financial close required.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience and knowledge.
• Knowledge of Great Plains preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
• Good interpersonal skills including the ability to interview potential employees if required.
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
• Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.

Responsibilities

• Produce, oversee, and analyze all necessary financial information and taxes for Rite of Passage, Inc./Rite of Passage ATCS as assigned.
• Prepare and file required filings and assist with audits as needed.
• Support month-end close and maintain general ledger integrity.

What you will do:

As a Staff Accountant you will be responsible for producing, overseeing, and analyzing all necessary financial information and taxes and other filings related to Rite of Passage, Inc, or Rite of Passage ATCS as assigned and Non-Profit schools, if assigned.

To Be Considered You Should

Schedule

Monday - Friday ~ 8:00am - 5:00pm ~ 1 hour break
