Job summary

Jabil is establishing a new Prince George, VA facility to startup a large, heavy, container-sized manufacturing operation. The Staff Accountant will build the financial backbone, perform journal entries, reconciliations, and close processes while collaborating with Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering to keep the project on track.

The role requires a BA/Accounting or Finance degree, 0-2+ years in accounting, and ERP experience (SAP/Oracle).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 0-2+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or multinational environment.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable.
• Strong Excel skills with VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and advanced formulas.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries with proper coding.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing and prepare financial statements.
• Support accounts payable/receivable, payroll-related transactions, and fixed assets.

The product will be large (shipping container size), heavy (50+ tons), and complex. This position will be part of the core factory startup and onboarding team responsible for building the operations and manufacturing staff, fitting out the building, and creating the process flow/work instructions/etc. from the ground up. Skills to include: panel and point to point wire assembly, Medium Voltage, Low Voltage, and High Power Electronic assemblies.This role serves as a key business partner to site leadership. This role delivers in‑depth financial analysis, cost insight, and operational performance reporting to drive better decision‑making. Responsibilities include forecasting, budgeting, PPV analysis, cost analysis, SOX compliance, and routine financial health reviews. This position also contributes to the enhancement and maintenance of Jabil’s financial systems and tools, ensuring accuracy, strong internal controls, and alignment with corporate standards. The analyst interacts routinely with cross‑functional teams, including Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Corporate Finance, to improve transparency, support strategic initiatives, and enhance overall operating results.What Will You Do?As a Staff Accountant at Jabil, Inc., you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
