Job summary

GreenKey Solar, a Portland, Oregon based renewable energy developer, seeks a Staff Accountant to manage AP, PO tracking, expense reporting, and vendor setup across affiliated entities. Hybrid role with two days per week in-office in Portland/Bend offers growth and impact in a climate‑focused company.

You’ll contribute to accurate financial records, improve workflows, and collaborate across teams while upholding integrity and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 1+ year of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience with Ramp, QuickBooks Online, or similar accounting and spend management platforms preferred.
• Strong Excel and Smartsheet skills and overall technology proficiency.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across departments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, growing environment.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Review invoices and purchase order requests for completeness and accuracy in our spend management platform, Ramp.
• Create and track equipment purchase orders.
• Assist with contract and lien waiver management.
• Support accounts payable processing as well as new vendor set up and communications.
• Review and categorize corporate credit card transactions and receipts.
• Assist with QuickBooks Online transactions.
• Perform account and bank reconciliations and assist in other month‑end close processes.
• Assist the accounting team with journal entries, reporting, and special projects as needed.
• Identify process improvements and help build scalable accounting workflows.

As a Staff Accountant for GreenKey Solar, you will work across GreenKey’s affiliated entities, including its parent company, TLS Capital, Inc., and related party, Renewable Acres, Inc. GreenKey Solar is tackling the climate crisis head‑on by developing and constructing utility‑scale renewable energy projects in key growth markets. Your Mission:

As a Staff Accountant, you’ll play a key role in managing accounts payable, purchase orders, expense tracking, and other various accounting support activities across the company. You’ll help maintain accurate financial records and support and improve workflows as the company continues to grow.
