Job summary

Molded Dimensions is seeking a Staff Accountant to partner with the Controller and CFO to streamline processes as the company grows. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and support cost accounting analysis in a manufacturing setting.

This role also supports AR/AP processes, audits and budgeting, and requires translating financial concepts to colleagues without finance backgrounds. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associates’ Degree in Accounting.
• 3–5 years of overall professional experience; manufacturing experience preferred with IQMS ERP.
• Ability to translate financial concepts to non-finance colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations.

• Assist in cash flow forecasting.
• Update and implement policies and accounting practices; improve the finance department’s policy manual.

• Handle other periodic ad-hoc requests.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant will play a critical role in partnering with the Controller and CFO in strategic and technology projects to streamline processes and operations as Molded Dimensions continues to grow.

Principle Duties:

• Prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations.
• Assist the Controller with cost accounting analysis and related projects.
• Support the accounting staff in streamlining AR and AP processes, which may include some clerical duties.
• Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements.
• Assist in the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors; assess any changes necessary.
• Assist in the annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the Controller and CFO.
• Assist in the management of cash flow forecasting.
• Update and implement all necessary business policies and accounting practices; improve the finance department’s overall policy and procedure manual.
• Effectively communicate and present the critical financial matters to the Controller and CFO.
• Other periodic ad-hoc requests.

Education and/or Experience:

• Requires a Associates’ Degree in Accounting.
• At least 3-5 years of overall professional experience; ideally 4+ years of manufacturing experience with IQMS ERP.
• Ability to translate financial concepts to colleagues who do not necessarily have finance backgrounds.
• Commitment to training programs that maximize individual and organization goals across the organization including best practices.
• A successful track record in setting priorities; keen analytic, organization and problem solving skills which support and enable sound decision making.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
