Job summary

Dairy Management Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the VP Finance and the accounting team within the DMI client companies. The role centers on general ledger activities, monthly close, journal entries, reconciliations and process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Located in the Chicagoland area, the position requires 0-3 years of GL experience, a bachelor's in accounting, and a CPA/CPA candidate is a plus. Salary ranges from $61,500 to $75,000 with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

Position Summary

The main role of the Staff Accountant is to support the VP Finance / Assistant Controller and other Accounting Staff in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance and Accounting Department as it relates to the DMI Client Companies.

This Staff Accountant will perform general ledger processes such as journal entry postings, account reconciliations and general ledger maintenance ensuring the financial close process is executed smoothly and meets deadlines.

In addition, the role will provide the opportunity to work on ad hoc projects to improve/streamline the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.

In order to be successful, the candidate must be organized, detail oriented, and have a team-oriented focus while possessing the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Education/Experience Requirements

• Non-for-Profit experience a plus
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

New Hire Salary Range: $61,500-$75,000. This is a salary range that DMI believes, at the time of this posting, that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location specified.
