Job summary

This role supports multiple venues including the Caesars Superdome, Smoothie King Center, Champions Square and Shrine on Airline, collaborating with accounting, purchasing and leadership to deliver timely financial reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from a four-year college or university.
• Entry-level accounting position, new graduates encouraged to apply.
• GPA 3.5 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Processes and reconciles large volume accounts payable transactions.
• Perform month-close duties: reconciliations of sub-ledgers and account analysis.
• Assist accounting leadership with preparation of financial statements.
• Reconcile cash receipts and disbursements.
• Prepare and record journal entries.
• Maintain fixed asset detail records.
• Maintain and audit reports related to box office and parking.
• Prepare settlement reporting for ticketed and private events.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Must successfully pass a criminal and credit background check
• Excellent understanding of intermediate financial accounting and the operational accounting process
• Proficient in using and learning new accounting software, efficient with spreadsheets, excellent math skills and a sharp attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work with and maintain highly confidential information

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s in accounting or finance from a four-year college or university
• Entry-level accounting position, new graduates highly encouraged to apply
