Job summary

Ash Brokerage, part of the Integrity family, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the Finance team. You will support daily and monthly financial processes and collaborate across departments to bolster the accounting function.

The role emphasizes accuracy, process improvement, and partnership with the Finance team, with a focus on receivables, month-end close, and budgets. A Bachelor’s in Accounting and 0–2 years’ experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting required.
• 0-2 years of accounting experience, including internships or entry-level accounting roles.
• Moderate accounting, US GAAP, and Microsoft Excel experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in receivables management; ensure invoices issued to appropriate parties and track receipts.
• Support month-end close; prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Maintain accounting operations and assist with projects.
• Serve as backup for critical accounting processes as needed.
• Identify and implement process improvements within the team.
• Support financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

Responsibilities

As the Staff Accountant, you’ll assist on critical financial processes that support the evolving needs of our growing business. To be successful, you will:

• Play a key role in the receivables management process. Ensure invoices are issued to appropriate parties accurately and appropriately and track incoming receipts.
• Support month end close processes. Prepare and complete various journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Ensure accuracy and timeliness to maintain set standards and deadlines.
• Maintain and assist with accounting operations and miscellaneous projects and activities.
• Serve as a backup for critical accounting processes as needed.
• Be a change agent for the team, identify and implement process improvements as applicable.
• Support financial and company analysis, annual budget, and forecasting needs.

Education and experience

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting Required
