Job summary

Knighted is a Dallas-based investment company seeking a Staff Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will help ensure the accuracy of financial statements and support month-end close.

You will reconcile accounts, prepare journal entries, and collaborate with department heads to ensure precise financial reporting. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to contribute to audits and budgeting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic to intermediate Microsoft Office Suite.
• NetSuite knowledge is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accounting schedules in accordance with applicable standards and company policy
• Prepares and records journal entries during month-end close process
• Performs month-end financial tasks, including the preparation and analysis of account reconciliations
• Partners with department heads to understand and ensure accuracy of all financial reporting activity
• Assists with annual audits, regulatory compliance, and annual budgeting processes, as needed
• Collaborates cross-functionally to ensure proper recording and classification of expenses

About the Role:

As we continue to expand our reach, we are looking for a Staff Accountant to help advance our strategic business development goals. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for helping to ensure the accuracy of our financial statements, including, but not limited to, reconciling accounts, performing month-end financial tasks, and assisting with regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will harbor an innate interest in helping to further the success of the accounting team.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting

• Working knowledge of NetSuite a plus, but not required
