Job summary

Renova One in Dallas, TX is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting, including accounts payable, installer/subcontractor payments, reconciliations, and month-end close, while helping ensure accurate financial reporting and internal controls.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of accounting experience.
• 1-2 years of public accounting experience OR 3-4 years of private industry accounting experience would be preferred.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Solid understanding of debit/credit principles and general ledger fundamentals.
• Experience with accounts payable, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger work.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Billing experience and construction industry knowledge a plus.
• Salesforce experience preferred.
• Self-starter with strong drive and a genuine desire to grow.

Responsibilities

• Process and log accounts payable transactions and subcontractor payments
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, vendor accounts, and general ledger entries
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries
• Prepare and maintain financial reports, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation
• Monitor and resolve discrepancies in invoices, payments, and account balances
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation
• Support billing processes and collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial transactions
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance the customer experience
• Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Take on increasing responsibility across the accounting function as skills develop
