Logistics Plus Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to maintain financial records, support the Controller, and assist in the monthly close.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and at least three years of related experience, with strong Excel and accounting software skills. Candidates nationwide are considered, preferably near one of our US offices.

• Assist the Controller and perform general cost accounting and related duties.
• Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements as needed.
• Maintain the general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and assist in closing monthly books.
• Reconcile bank accounts monthly and assist in month-end and year-end closing cycles.
• Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manage accounts receivable collections.
• Verify and process payments of invoices for accounts payable and ensure correct charging.
• Interface with departments to ensure accurate accounting records and efficient processes.

We are open to candidates across the US, preferably near one of our US offices (eg: Dallas, Chicago, Miami, Western PA, Chino, CA).# *Supervisory Responsibilities:** None.## *Duties/Responsibilities:** Assist the Controller.* Performs general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization.* Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements as needed.* Maintains the general ledger and balance sheet reconciliation.* Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and assist in closing the monthly books.* Reconciles bank accounts monthly.* Assist in the month-end and year-end closing cycle.* Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manages accounts receivable collections.* Verifies and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.* Interface with all departments to ensure accounting information is recorded accurately and efficiently.* Maintains knowledge of generally acceptable accounting principles.* Performs other related duties as assigned.## Qualifications## *Required Skills/Abilities:** Excellent verbal and written communication skills.* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.* Ability to multitask.* Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.* Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.## *Education and Experience:** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field, required.* At least three years of related experience required. ## *Physical Requirements:** Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.* Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
