Job summary

Dana F. Cole & Company, LLP is seeking an active Staff Accountant or Senior Accountant to own a portfolio of clients, provide tax and accounting services, and contribute to client relationships.

This role offers a leadership track with potential partnership for the right candidate and opportunities to mentor junior staff in a collaborative Midwest CPA firm. Qualifications

• 2–4 years of tax experience in public accounting is preferred.
• Active CPA license is a plus—but not required.
• Ability to manage client relationships and oversee multiple engagements.
• Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.
• Confidence in explaining complex financial concepts to clients from all backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow your own portfolio of clients
• Provide tax and accounting services to individuals, partnerships, corporations, nonprofits, estates, and trusts
• Plan, prepare, and review tax returns
• Meet directly with clients to cultivate strong, lasting relationships
• Deliver a variety of non-attest services
• Oversee and mentor staff, helping to develop future leaders within the firm

What You’ll Do:
