Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Maintain and update accounting records and files
- Analyze budgets and create expense reports
- Meet with clients to discuss confidential accounting issues
- Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g., by assets, liabilities and expenses)
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, loan accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Analyze transactions with internal and external stakeholders
- Conduct month‑end and year‑end closures
- Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations
- Report to the Accounting Manager and work to improve financial processes
- Manage all accounting transactions
- Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
- Create and analyze liability, asset, and capital accounts by compiling electronic data and required documentation
- Summarize and prepare financial status and transaction reports, including a profit and loss statement and other necessary reports
- Post and maintain general ledger accounts, payroll transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger adjustments
- Record and review bookkeeping data entry; perform problem‑solving and research activities
- Assist clients and other staff with documents, questions, and issues
Qualifications for Staff Accountant
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Five or more years of general ledger accounting and financial reporting experience, preferably in e‑commerce and professional services
- Strong analytical ability and experience preparing financial reports
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (Pivot Tables, V‑Lookup, X‑Lookup, charts, functions & formulas)
- Knowledge of cloud accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, ERP systems), Tallie, and related finance applications
- Understanding of financial application security and confidentiality policies
- Excellent attention to detail, follow‑through, and multitasking skills
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and team‑player orientation
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Excellent time‑management skills
- Outstanding communication skills with a focus on accuracy, organization, and high‑volume environment handling
- Strong support skills for coordinating training and information sessions across departments
- Fluent in written and spoken English

Working hours: Saturday through Thursday, 8 am to 6 pm Bangladesh Time; US business hours overlap 7 pm to 11 pm Pacific Time. Employees must be online and actively available during working hours.
