Overview

Role: Staff Accountant

Location: Buckhead - Atlanta

Hybrid – Mon, Tues, Thurs in-office

Direct Hire - Full Time Position

Vaco is partnering with a growing healthcare client in Buckhead (Atlanta) seeking a Staff Accountant assisting with the GL, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, fixed assets, prepaids and other areas of GL accounting. Candidates must have Staff Accountant experience (2-3+ years of experience) and strong analytical skills for consideration.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle A/R and A/P support, journal entries, GL analysis, and monthly close.
• Reconcile balance sheets and bank accounts.
• Maintain prepaid/accrued expense schedules.
• Meet reporting deadlines and KPIs.
• Assist with audits and financial statement reviews.
• Support internal controls and process improvements.
• Contribute to special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelors in Accounting or Finance. (required)
• 2–3+ years of progressive Staff Accountant experience (required); healthcare industry experience (preferred).
• Proficiency in reconciliations, journal entries, and GAAP(required)
• Software: Intermediate/Advanced Excel (required), NetSuite (required), Power BI (preferred)
• CPA (preferred)
• Local to Atlanta and able to commute on-site 3x a week (Mon, Tues, Thurs) (required)
