Job summary

Nexus in Middlesex County (NJ) at MCP SFM, LLC is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the facility’s sports and non-sports programs, including leagues, tournaments, and after-school activities, ensuring operational readiness and safe event delivery.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will manage stadium operations staff, budgets, vendor contracts, and cross-functional initiatives, while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in recreation, sports management or related field with 3-5 years of experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and negotiating skills.
• Experience creating event timelines and opening/closing protocols per soccer guidelines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Office tools.
• Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within required period.

Responsibilities

• Oversee stadium setup, conversion, and teardown for events with safety standards.
• Lead stadium operations staff, including event staff, ushers, and security during events.
• Coordinate pre/post-event communications with owners, teams, and internal departments.
• Develop and manage stadium operating budgets; control labor and equipment costs.
• Serve as Manager on Duty for events, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Collaborate with Operations Director and managers on cross-functional initiatives.
