Job summary

Coinbase is hiring a Software Engineer to build backend services for international stablecoins. You will evaluate external APIs, integrate systems, and contribute to issuance and operations while aligning with product and design teams.

You will own end-to-end features, support minting and security reviews of smart contracts, and drive reliability through observability and testing. This is a remote-friendly, globally collaborative role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building and maintaining production backend services.
• Proficiency in Go and exposure to Ethereum or similar EVM chains.
• Experience evaluating, integrating, and operating third‑party APIs.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver features end-to-end with autonomy, from design through deployment.
• Familiarity with distributed systems patterns and well-tested production code.
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build backend services powering stablecoin issuance, onboarding, and operations, including integrating external APIs with internal systems.
• Own end-to-end delivery of features from design through production, coordinating with PMs, designers, and tech leads.
• Support smart contracts that mint, burn, and safeguard stablecoin supply with security reviews.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver rewards, growth, and conversion features.
• Improve reliability and observability across the platform with well-tested code.
