Job summary

Sharp HealthCare in San Diego seeks an experienced registered nurse to support patients, staff and physicians, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality care in the designated patient population. This role leads nursing and PSR staff, serves as a technical nursing expert, and participates in endoscopy procedures with conscious sedation.

Required California RN license, BLS and ACLS, plus 1 year of clinic RN experience.

Qualifications

• Must have California RN license and 1 year RN experience in a clinic.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Ambulatory care experience preferred.
• Successful completion of conscious sedation training.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients, staff and physicians to maintain efficiency and quality care.
• Assist with leadership of the Nursing and Patient Service Representative Staff.
• Serve as technical nursing expert for assigned areas.
• Exhibits critical thinking skills in all situations.
• Monitor physiologic status during endoscopic procedures requiring conscious sedation.
• Prepare, clean and sterilize endoscopes and related equipment.
• Monitor and discharge patients post-procedure and manage room readiness.

• Coordinate pre-procedure preparation and post-procedure follow-up.

• Shift End Time: 6 PM
• AWS Hours Requirement: 10/40 - 10 Hour Shift
• Weekend Requirements: As Needed
• On-Call Required: No
• Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum): $55.310 - $71.360 - $79.920

• Preparation, use, dismantling, cleaning and sterilization of endoscopes.
• Recovery of patients receiving IV conscious sedation.
