Job summary

X-Bow Systems in Texas seeks a Mechanical Tooling/Equipment Development Engineer to lead the design, development, installation and commissioning of specialty manufacturing equipment for SRM R&D and production.

The role requires hands-on design, analysis, project management and cross-functional collaboration to support the Luling site and world-class production. US-person with ability to obtain a Secret clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in mechanical design, analysis, testing and hands-on assembly.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and PDM; knowledge of FEA/DFM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop specialty process equipment and tooling for SRM R&D and production.
• Lead requirements management across the design lifecycle with vendors and internal teams.
• Perform engineering analyses (FMEA, hand calculations, FEA) for structural integrity.
• Prepare design reviews and publish results for peer review.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, safety, and vendors to ensure manufacturability.
• Oversee procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of equipment.
