Job summary

Leadout Capital is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to support and scale Salesforce cloud services. You will monitor critical incidents, drive automation, and help build resilient systems used by millions of customers around the clock.

You will work with Infrastructure and R&D partners, contributing to incident reviews, root cause analyses, and continuous improvement. Strong Unix, networking, and scripting skills are required for a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise-scale internet service engineering or support.
• Proficient CLI knowledge of Unix variants, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Strong TCP/IP networking knowledge and protocols.
• Incident management experience in a 24/7 ITIL-based environment.
• Proficiency scripting in Python or Go and AWS provisioning/operation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Sev0/Sev1 incidents on customer-facing services and lead technical reviews.
• Automate detection and resolution of recurring production issues.
• Contribute to compliance, resiliency, and self-healing initiatives, including game day drills.
• Mentor teammates and drive ongoing team development.

Job description

In this role, you'll detect and resolve incidents fast, drive automation, and help build the resilient systems that millions of customers depend on every day.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

• Monitor customer-facing services and respond to Severity 0 (Sev0) and Severity 1 (Sev1) incidents, leading technical reviews and contributing to root cause analyses.
• Automate the detection and resolution of recurring production issues to reduce engineering and operations toil.
• Contribute to compliance, resiliency, and self-healing initiatives, including destructive testing and game day exercises.
• Partner with and mentor teammates to stay current on industry technology and drive team development.

You're Our Person If...

• You have experience in enterprise-scale internet service engineering or support, with strong command line interface (CLI) knowledge of Unix variants, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• You have expertise in Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) networking technologies and protocols.
• You have demonstrated experience with incident management and a solid understanding of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) service operations in a 24/7 environment.
• You're proficient writing scripts in Python, Go, or similar languages, with experience provisioning and operating Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure.

Even Better If...

• You have experience with configuration management tools such as Chef or Puppet, and pipeline tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or Spinnaker.
• You have hands-on experience supporting and managing Kubernetes-based applications and services.
• You hold certifications in Linux+, Red Hat, or AWS.
• You're familiar with Agile processes and DevOps practices.
