Job summary

Kastle Systems is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer II in Detroit to own the reliability and scalability of core infrastructure. You'll harden deployment pipelines, partner with product teams, and participate in on-call rotations while shaping multi-tier release workflows from Dev to Prod.

You will strengthen CI/CD with ArgoCD, manage Azure AKS, implement SLIs/SLOs, and drive cost-aware, secure operations across a distributed platform.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years in an SRE/Platform/Infrastructure role with production systems ownership.
• Hands-on Azure prod infra experience: AKS, Azure Monitor, Cosmos DB, Key Vault, Front Door.
• Deep production Kubernetes experience: resource management, RBAC, networking, HPA/VPA, PVs.
• Experience with GitOps deployment tools and multi-stage delivery patterns.
• Terraform/OpenTofu/Pulumi in production GitOps context.
• Proficiency in Python or Go for automation; strong Bash scripting.
• Linux internals, TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP semantics.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-stage deployment pipeline via ArgoCD with gates and rollback.
• Maintain trunk-based branching discipline and release governance.
• Manage feature flag lifecycles with product and QA teams.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for safe, frequent deployments.
• Define and enforce SLIs/SLOs with product teams.
• Instrument observability: metrics, logs, traces with Prometheus/OpenTelemetry.
