Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to design, build and scale Starshield software and GPU infrastructure. The role covers deploying AI clusters, automating on- premises workloads, and collaborating with AI engineers to deliver highly available systems.

The ideal candidate has Linux expertise, Terraform/Ansible, Kubernetes experience, and programming in Python/Go. Top Secret clearance and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related engineering discipline, or 3+ years in DevOps/SRE.
• Experience with Linux operating systems and scripting (Bash, Python, or similar).
• Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible or equivalent infrastructure automation tools.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage GPU/CPU infra deployments in secure data centers.
• Provide GPU-as-a-service for external customers on bare metal and virtual platforms.
• Design and productize AI cluster solutions at large scale (100k+ GPUs).
• Develop automation to deploy on-prem Kubernetes/AI clusters and OSes.
• Monitor, operate, and improve core infra including databases and storage.
