Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Sr. World Wide Specialist SA—SAP Modernization to lead SAP modernization initiatives for enterprise customers. You will drive technical architectures, influence product roadmaps, and share best practices across forums and events.

As a specialist, you will partner with GTM and partner teams, scale innovation for SAP on AWS, and create field enablement materials for the broader specialist population.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 5+ years experience in SAP business processes and integrations with related third party software.

SSAs craft scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures that address those challenges. This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.

Key job responsibilities

• - Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
• - Provide advanced technical knowledge to your domain aligned GTM teams to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.
• - Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc.
• - Partner with Business Development teams to define the technical components of best in class GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
• - Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide. Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.

A day in the life

• - Specialist Solution Architects will engage as expert practitioners with a select set of customers to ensure first-hand knowledge of customer use cases and challenges.
• - Demonstrates thought leadership and credibly represents AWS at industry events, conferences, symposiums, etc.
• - Specialist Solution Architects serve as a focal point for representing voice and needs of the customer, working with internal customer facing teams and product/service teams to influence the product roadmap.
• - Responsibility for leading initiatives to scale innovation and modernization for SAP on AWS, through expertise and guidance, creating new technical and go to market content.
• - Specialist Solution Architects have responsibility to maintain expertise across their entire domain, and to consider/explore adjacent areas (e.g. other domains, industry verticals) to anticipate future use cases and opportunities.

Basic Qualifications

• - 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• - 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• - 5+ years experience in SAP business processes (Order to Cash, Procure to Pay) and integrations with related third party software (examples: order mgmt., warehouse mgmt., financial planning, transportation and logistics carriers, EDI, etc.)
• - 5+ years of SAP techno-functional experience (required experience in 2 or more of the following: ABAP development, BTP development, Fiori development, Business Data Cloud)

Preferred Qualifications

• - 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
• - Knowledge of SAP systems (like SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, etc.) and their architecture and infrastructure needs
• - Experience working with end user or developer communities
• - Experience managing relationships with SAP customers and partners
• - Experience in SAP S/4HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, SAP Cloud ERP and Cloud ERP Private
• - Experience in SAP clean core design concepts, including design and build using non-SAP technologies in domains such as Generative / Agentic AI, and data & analytics

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
