Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking a Wiring Harness Lab Engineer to support the development of new truck wiring systems. You will modify and repair harnesses in the lab or on the truck, build prototype harnesses, and ensure changes by suppliers are properly implemented.

You will also design routing and brackets using CREO/ProE. The role requires hands-on wiring manufacturing experience, strong English communication, and at least 5 years in wiring design or repair, with lab inventory

Qualifications

• Commercial vehicle or automotive wiring harness manufacturing or repair experience.
• In depth knowledge of automotive connector suppliers and connector families.
• Experience with wiring harness manufacturing and repair tools.
• Experience with lab inventory control methods.
• Experience with automotive or commercial electrical troubleshooting.
• CREO/PRO E bracket design experience.
• 5+ Years of experience with wiring design, manufacturing and/or repair.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Hands on wiring manufacturing and troubleshooting experience a must.
• Support the development of new truck wiring systems by implementing changes in existing wiring harness, by modifying and repairing existing parts in the lab or on the truck and by building new prototype harnesses in the lab.
• Modify existing wiring harnesses to implement changes as directed by the wiring engineer.
• Build prototype wiring harnesses or cables according to design provided by the wiring harness engineer.
• Check wiring harnesses for implementation of temporary changes by supplier.
• Organizes and maintains lab equipment, tools and supplies.
• Organizes and maintains inventory of wiring harness components to be used for prototype manufacturing and repairs.
• Supports in troubleshooting wiring problem.
• Authors problem reports for wiring harness defects identified in the wiring lab.
• Design prototype brackets and wiring harness routing and clipping solutions using CAD tools such as CREO/ProE
