Job summary

U.S. Bank in Minnesota is seeking an experienced Windows Infrastructure Engineer to lead the administration, maintenance, and optimization of Windows Server environments.

You will serve as the primary escalation point for Level 3 incidents, drive root cause analysis, and drive security hardening, patching, and automation across on-prem and hybrid cloud platforms (AWS and Azure). This role also emphasizes collaboration, mentoring, and modernization of the infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Five to six years of enterprise Windows Infrastructure experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead administration, maintenance, and optimization of Windows Server infrastructure.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex Level 3 incidents, driving root cause analysis and long-term resolution.
• Manage and support Active Directory, Group Policy, authentication services, identity management, and enterprise administration.
• Drive vulnerability remediation, security hardening, patching, and compliance initiatives across enterprise environments.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions using PowerShell, infrastructure-as-code, and orchestration tools.
• Support and optimize hybrid cloud environments across AWS and Microsoft Azure, including migrations and cloud-based operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows performance, storage, filesystems, permissions, networking, and infrastructure services.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and drive continuous improvement and modernization initiatives across the infrastructure platform.

Basic Qualifications

• Strongexpertisein Active Directory , Group Policy ,authenticationservices,identitymanagement,andenterpriseadministration.
• Advancedexperiencewith Windows performance monitoring ,troubleshooting,androotcauseanalysis.
• Hands-onexperiencewith AWS and Microsoft Azure infrastructure,hybridcloudoperations,andcloudsupport.
• Strongknowledgeof Windows patch management ,packagedeployment,securityupdates,andsystemlifecyclemanagement.
• Experiencewith automation and scripting ,including PowerShell ,configurationmanagement,orchestration,andinfrastructureautomationframeworks.
• Deepunderstandingof vulnerability remediation , security hardening ,compliancecontrols,andoperationalbestpractices.
• Advancedtroubleshootingskillsacross storage , file systems ,permissions,networking,andenterpriseinfrastructureservices; Red Hat Linux experienceisaplus.

Location expectations

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $119,765.00 - $140,900.00
