Cardinal Health is seeking a training-focused Warehouse Operations specialist in New Jersey. The role involves delivering onboarding and ongoing training for associates, including walkthroughs, sign-offs, and safety compliance, to ensure accurate, efficient warehouse performance.

You will develop, deliver, and document training modules, assess knowledge gaps, and coordinate cross-functional training across the warehouse, travel as needed to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or some college preferred.
• 2-4 years' experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Good written communication skills.
• Exhibits and practices positive communications and team building skills with trainees to ensure a consistently professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides training to new hires and tenured associates, including walk-throughs and sign-off.
• Develops and implements New Employee Onboarding Program across all warehouse roles, including leadership roles.
• Coaches, counsels, and inspires employees to meet or exceed production goals and drives engagement.
• Coordinates trainings across the warehouse and ensures training is designed, delivered, and evaluated for consistency.
• Documents each training program and module and provides follow up for refresher courses.

Job description

Shift: Sunday-Thursday 7:00pm - 3:30am (or until task complete) What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Responsibilities: Provides training in individual or group settings to new hires along with tenured associates (i.e., walk-throughs/sign off, manual picking, conveyance operation, compliance training, new employee onboarding, cross training, quality training) Helps create landmarks to be achieved through training content and creates training plans. Implements New Employee Onboarding Program to all employees across all roles inside the warehouse. This includes leadership roles. Coaches, counsels, and inspires employees to not only meet but exceed required production goals. Drives engagement with each employee. Conducts skill needs assessments to identify specific skill/knowledge gaps, training objectives, work situations and changes in training policies and procedures. Utilizes Training Matrix Report to provide site leaders with data that supports employee’s knowledge, employees’ hours in a function, the number of employees with knowledge in a function, etc. Coordinates trainings across the warehouse, ensuring training is designed, delivered, and evaluated for consistency. Observes employees to determine the effectiveness of training programs and ensure that any additional training requirements are fulfilled. Documents each training program and module properly and provide follow up for refresher training courses. Determines that trainees are aware of order accuracy procedures and conformity at each stage of the training. Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and Safety Manager. Functions as a general warehouse team member within the department and performs other duties as assigned when not training Learns and trains on all functions within the warehouse Travels as necessary based on needs of the business
