Sr Verification Engineer IP verification Overview

Join Arm’s Systems team as a Senior Verification Engineer specializing in IP verification in Bristol. This role involves creating world‑class IPs and subsystems for various applications, particularly focusing on AI use cases. You will be responsible for ensuring that complex IP products, such as Crypto Accelerators and PCIe controllers, function seamlessly together and with software, enabling partners to develop exceptional systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop test plans and methodologies for verifying complex IP products.
• Create and implement C‑based software tests and SystemVerilog/Verilog testbenches.
• Debug test failures and issues to ensure product functionality.
• Collaborate with project management and team leads to plan tasks, schedules, and report on progress.
• Work alongside engineers from various teams, including architecture, design, implementation, and silicon validation.

Necessary Skills and Experience

• Strong understanding of digital hardware verification languages such as Verilog and SystemVerilog.
• Experience with various verification methodologies, including UVM and formal verification.
• Proficient in SoC verification and embedded low‑level programming, particularly in C/C++ and assembly language.
• Familiarity with all stages of the verification process, from requirements gathering to documentation.
• Excellent problem‑solving and debugging skills.
• Knowledge of IP/SoC verification strategies and flows.
• Experience with ARM‑based architectures and builds, including clock domain crossing verification.
• Familiarity with GLS, DFT/DFD, and UPF power‑aware verification.
• Experience with automation through scripting languages such as Tcl, Perl, or Python.
• Willingness to explore AI‑based methods in digital verification.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Exposure to formal verification using JasperGold/VC formal.
• Prior experience in hardware security and cryptographic algorithms.
• Understanding of machine learning algorithms and their applications in verification.
• Knowledge of ARM proprietary tools and environments.
