$87,360.00/yr - $126,186.00/yr

CGS is seeking a talented, driven UI Designer to join our team helping our national security customers achieve deeper stakeholder engagement through research-driven, user-centered design of core applications and websites. In this role, you will lead efforts to design mission-critical applications and websites that provide seamless user experiences with modern, innovative interfaces. The ideal candidate has experience leading the iterative prototyping and design of responsive web pages, applications, and digital solutions that exceed client and end-user expectations.

Skills and attributes for success:

• Ability to identify solutions based on insights from User Research
• Experience managing multiple sites and applications across clients in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to collaborate with engineers and federal clients to create innovative, intuitive digital solutions
• Experience analyzing user research to inform design of web pages, interfaces, and solutions
• Proficiency in creating wireframes, storyboards, and site maps
• Ability to develop scalable design resources for collaboration and expansion

Qualifications:

• Must be a US Citizen
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of professional design experience (UI, Graphic, CX/UX, Research)
• Strong online portfolio demonstrating research-driven responsive design skills
• Results-oriented with high standards for quality and attention to detail
• Understanding of website development lifecycle and UI standards
• Experience designing compliant web and mobile applications (508, USWDS)
• Experience from wireframes to high-fidelity mockups
• Ability to incorporate feedback and work independently or in teams

Preferred qualifications:

• Excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude
• Advanced coding skills (HTML, CSS, JS)
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Data visualization experience
• Ability to evaluate and improve UI systems
• Knowledge of research tools and user-centered design principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
