Job summary

Samyang America is seeking a Senior Treasury Specialist to support daily treasury operations, including cash management, banking activities, payments, forecasting, and cash flow management across multiple entities.

You will manage bank reconciliations, journal entries, and intercompany funding while partnering with Accounting, overseas entities, and banking partners. A bilingual English/Korean capability is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or related field and 4+ years in treasury/finance operations.
• Experience with SAP for treasury, cash management, and reporting.
• Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Bank Payment Operations: process daily payments, wire/ACH, and cross-border payments.
• Bank Account Management: maintain master data and coordinate bank access.
• Cash Management & Forecasting: monitor cash positions and forecast needs across entities.
• Cash Flow Statement Preparation & Analysis: prepare statements and reconcile data across systems.
• Compliance & Internal Control: document treasury activity and support audits and KSox.
• Others: collaborate with IT/Accounting to resolve interface issues and FX exposure analysis.

Position Summary:

We are looking to hire a Senior Treasury Specialist who will support daily treasury operations, including cash management, banking activities, payments, cash forecasting, and cash flow management. This role will manage bank reconciliations, journal entries, domestic and international banking activities, and intercompany funding while partnering closely with Accounting, overseas entities, headquarters, and banking partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Bank Payment Operations

• Prepare, review, and process daily payments.
• Execute wire, ACH, and other electronic payments via online banking systems.
• Manage payment approvals to ensure timely and accurate disbursement.
• Process domestic and international payments, including cross-border wire transfers and foreign currency payments.

Bank Account Management

• Maintain and update bank account master data and signatory records.
• Coordinate with banks for system access, user management, and issue resolution.
• Support bank account opening, closing, and maintenance activities as needed.

Cash Management & Forecasting

• Monitor and reconcile daily cash positions across all entities.
• Forecast short- and mid-term cash requirements based on inflows and outflows.
• Optimize cash utilization and coordinate intercompany funding as needed.
• Utilize SAP and banking systems to monitor cash balances, payment transactions, and cash movements.

Cash Flow Statement Preparation & Analysis

• Prepare monthly and quarterly cash flow statements using both the direct and indirect methods.
• Analyze and reconcile cash flow data between SAP, accounting records, bank transactions, and other financial systems.
• Analyze key variances between forecasted and actual cash flows.

Compliance & Internal Control

• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all treasury transactions.
• Support internal and external audit requests and ensure K-SOX compliance where applicable.

Others

• Collaborate with IT and Accounting teams to resolve system interface issues and improve accuracy.
• Monitor foreign currency transactions and support FX exposure analysis.
• Coordinate with Accounting, FP&A, and other teams to ensure consistency of cash flow data and reporting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
• 4+ years of experience in Treasury, Accounting, or Finance operations.
• Broad experience using various online banking systems for payments and account management.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP and the ability to utilize SAP for treasury, cash management, and financial reporting activities.
• Solid understanding of cash management and financial reporting.
• Practical experience preparing cash flow statements using both direct and indirect methods.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, especially in cash flow preparation and analysis.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to handle time-sensitive tasks and work under tight deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with overseas bank account management and international/cross-border payments is a plus.
• Knowledge of FX transactions, cash pooling, or intercompany funding is a plus.
• Experience in multi-entity, cross-border treasury operations is a plus.
• Experience with multinational online banking platforms such as CitiDirect is a plus.
• Bilingual in English and Korean required.

The base salary for this position is between $75,000.00 and $95,000.00 per year. Actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience, and location.
