Farnsworth Group

is seeking a Sr. Transportation Engineer in our Chicago, Bloomington, Lisle, Peoria, or Tinley Park, IL offices. This is an exciting opportunity for a Transportation Project Manager looking to hone their management skills while providing a direct impact to our growing organization!

Job Activities:

1. Serve as project manager with autonomy for project-related tasks and as a designated client contact. May have project management responsibilities on multiple projects.
2. Responsible for project schedules and timely completion of projects.
3. Assist in the coordination of estimating, scoping, and marketing strategies for proposed projects.
4. Assist in the preparation of engineering agreements for projects.
5. Provide street and highway design engineering analysis and computations.
6. Prepare or modify reports, specifications, plans, studies, permits, and designs for various projects.
7. May delegate and/or supervise the work of other engineers.
8. Actively participate in business development efforts and attend client meetings, making presentations in support of the client/project manager.

Specific Requirements include:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited Civil, Transportation, or Traffic Engineering program
• 10-15 years of transportation or traffic engineering experience
• IDOT or local IL project experience is required
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• Ability to manage and collaborate with Engineers, Technicians, Clients, and Administrators
• Ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously
• Working experience with Microsoft Office, MicroStation, ORD, and Geopak preferred

Salary Range:

$105,000 - $135,000 (salary depends on education, experience, skills, and internal/external equity)
